An independent family run business, the Maison Louis Latour is among the most respected wine merchants of Bourgogne. Known worldwide for the quality of it's red and white wines, the company has built a reputation of tradition and innovation. It is considered one of the most traditional merchant-farmers.
Louis Latour produces some of the best wines in Burgundy, and has also led the way in the production of fine wines from other regions (Ardèche). The Latours have been winemakers since the 17th century, and are now owners of a 50-hectare estate; which includes the largest area of grand crus in the Côte d'Or with a total of 28 hectares. The vineyards extend from Chambertin - in the north - to Chevalier Montrachet - in the south.
A red Burgundy with a fine perfume marked by cherries and just a hint of liquorice. The palate is full and the tannins are supportive yet ripe. With its lovely minerality and poise, this is a superb match to poultry.
