Mumm

Maison Mumm was formally established in 1827, however, the roots of the champagne house date back to around the 12^th Century, giving it a rich history. The original business was based in Cologne Germany and was operated by the Mumm family who grew wine from the vineyards in the Rhine valley. The three ambitious sons of the Mumm patriarch took the decision to establish a base in the Champagne area of France as they believed there was greater demand for wine produced in this part of the world. The Mumm family partnered with an enterprising local man named G.Heuser and in 1827 the G.H.Mumm brand that is recognised worldwide today, was born. These deep historical roots of Masison Mumm is the reason it is one of the most cherished champagne brands in existence today.
