Demi-Sec, which when translated from French, means half dry is ironically the sweetest variety of Champagne there is. Demi-Sec contains between 32 and 50 grams of sugar. Demi-Sec wines can be made with a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grape, grown in the Champagne region in France. Demi-Sec was most popular in the 18th century when Champagne was enjoyed as an accompaniment to food; its intense sweetness makes it the perfect match for food and the most beautiful compliment to any desert!
